Your Life Story Book is an Australian-owned and operated company, proudly run under TFD Services Pty Ltd. When you contact us, you’ll be speaking directly with our team here in Australia.
We understand that writing your life stories is a deeply personal and meaningful experience. Our role is to support you every step of the way, making the process comfortable, simple, and rewarding.
No question is ever too small — we’re here to help with anything, whether it’s about the prompts, the writing process, the book format, or what to expect next.

What is included in my purchase?
What is included in the Standard and Premium packages?
Our packages are designed to give you time, guidance, and flexibility to create your Life Story Book at a pace that feels right for you.
With the Standard package, you’ll receive 12 months of fortnightly email prompts for one person. Your book includes up to 25 guided questions, with up to 3 photos per story. Once complete, you’ll receive a beautifully printed hardcover, soft-touch book with up to 60 pages included.
Looking for more space?
With the Premium package, you’ll receive 12 months of weekly prompts, up to 50 guided questions, 100 pages of stories, and up to 5 photos per story — perfect for capturing even more detail.
If you prefer to write your own questions, you’re very welcome to. The only limitation is the page allowance within your chosen package.
After the initial 12 months of prompts, you’ll have up to 5 years to complete your book. After that time, your stories will be securely removed from our system.
And remember, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Can I purchase extra books?
Yes, you’re welcome to order as many additional copies of your book as you’d like. Many people choose to share their Life Story Book with family and friends as a meaningful keepsake.
Additional copies are priced as follows:
• $75 per book for the standard package size
• $85 per book for the premium package size
Before placing your order, we kindly recommend carefully reviewing your interior preview to ensure everything is exactly as you’d like it. This helps avoid any unwanted errors, as we’re unable to offer free reprints for issues that appeared in the approved preview.
If you’re planning to order multiple copies, it can be helpful to order one first so you can see the finished book in person. If you’d like us to make any edits afterward, we’re happy to assist. Editing fees may apply depending on the number of changes, and we’ll always discuss these with you beforehand.

Can I gift a Your Life Story Book?
Yes, absolutely. Your Life Story Book makes a thoughtful and meaningful gift, especially for someone who seems to have everything. It’s a special way to show how much you value them by inviting them to share their memories, stories, and life experiences — creating something that can be treasured for years to come.
To purchase a book as a gift, simply select the “Is this a gift?” option at checkout. You’ll then be guided to add the recipient’s details after your purchase. We’ll also send you a gift certificate, which you can print and present to them.

Is there a word or page limit to my stories?
Each book package includes a set number of pages, with our printer able to produce books of up to 100 pages per volume. Because the pages are generously sized, you can include up to 5,000 characters per story response, which is enough space for most memories to be shared comfortably.
If you ever have a story that goes beyond this limit, you’re welcome to send it to us directly, and we’ll help include it in your book where possible.
If your stories exceed 100 pages, additional volumes can be created so your memories can continue without being lost. This means there’s no overall limit to how many stories you can preserve — your Life Story can grow into as many volumes as you wish.
Can I include photos? How many can I add?
Yes, we warmly encourage you to include photos with your stories. Photos add depth and emotion, helping bring your memories to life — and often say more than words alone.
With the Standard package, you can add up to 3 photos per story, and with the Premium package, you can include up to 5 photos per story.
Adding photos is simple — just attach your images when you submit each story. We accept common photo formats such as JPEG and PNG. For the best print quality, please avoid sending photos as PDF files.
Photos are printed in high resolution, typically at 300 dpi, ensuring they look clear and vibrant in your finished book. Smaller images may be printed at 150 dpi, depending on their original quality.
If you ever need help adding or preparing your photos, our team is here to assist you.
What do the books look like? Can I customize the cover?
Your Life Story Book is a beautifully presented hardcover, soft touch, landscape book, measuring 28 cm x 21.5 cm. It’s designed to feel substantial, elegant, and easy to read.
We use the Arimo font at size 13.7, which has been carefully chosen for its clarity and readability. Your stories are printed exactly as you write them, so if you’d like formatting such as bold, italics, or underlining, you can include this within your responses.
Your book will also include your photos alongside your stories. We recommend adding photos as you go and including a caption for each image, either in the photo file name or within your story, noting where the photo should appear.
You can also customise the cover by adding your own photo and title, such as your name or a meaningful phrase. Some cover styles also offer different colour options, allowing you to create a book that truly reflects your story.
Can I choose the questions?
Yes, absolutely. You have full flexibility to choose the questions you’d like to answer.
You can select from our thoughtfully designed question prompts, which are created to help guide you through different stages and memories of your life. If you prefer, you’re also welcome to write your own questions, allowing you to focus on the stories and moments that matter most to you.
This ensures your Life Story Book is truly personal and reflects your unique experiences.
Can more than one person write in the same book?
Each book is designed for one storyteller, with one set of guided questions. The number of questions you can answer depends on your chosen package.
We recommend that each person creates their own Life Story Book. This allows every storyteller to share their memories fully and ensures their stories are presented clearly and beautifully.
If you would like to combine stories from more than one person into a single book once they are complete, please contact us directly. We’ll be happy to discuss the options and how we can assist.
How will my story look in the printed book?
Before your book is printed, you will receive a preview copy to review, so you can see exactly how your stories and photos will appear.
This preview is provided as a PDF download, showing the full layout, including your text, photos, and formatting. We strongly recommend taking the time to carefully proofread everything and make any changes you’d like.
Once you approve the preview and submit your book for printing, it will be printed exactly as shown. This ensures you have full control and confidence that your Life Story Book is just as you want it.
What is your return policy?
We want you to feel confident and comfortable with your purchase.
If for any reason you’re not satisfied, we offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, provided that your book has not yet been printed.
As each book is custom-made and printed specifically for you, printed books cannot be returned or exchanged.
If you would like to request a refund or have any questions, please contact our team and we’ll be happy to assist you.
How long does it take for orders to be delivered?
As soon as you purchase Your Life Story Book, the storyteller will be prompted to create their account and can begin writing straight away. There’s no waiting to get started.
This makes it a wonderful last-minute gift. Gift purchases are delivered instantly via email, and you can also print a gift certificate at home to present in person. The recipient will then receive their guided prompts (weekly or fortnightly, depending on the package) and can begin capturing their stories right away.
Once the book is completed and the final proof is approved, standard shipping takes approximately 10 business days for delivery. We also offer express printing and shipping (up to 5 business days) at an additional cost.

Can books be posted internationally?
Yes, we can arrange international shipping.
Shipping within Australia is included in our standard package. We can also ship to New Zealand through an alternative printer — simply let us know when you are finalising your book.
For other international destinations, please contact our friendly team at support@yourlifestorybook.au, and we’ll be happy to assist with options and pricing.
All of our books are printed and shipped from Australia. Please note that some countries may apply customs or import fees, which are the responsibility of the recipient at the time of delivery.
Can you respond in a foreign language?
At this time, our printing system supports languages that use the English alphabet. This means you can write your stories in many languages that use standard English characters.
We hope to expand support for additional languages in the future. If you’re unsure whether your preferred language is supported, please contact our team at support@yourlifestorybook.au, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
What happens if I don’t complete my book after 5 years?
You’ll have up to 5 years to complete your Life Story Book, giving you plenty of time to write at your own pace.
If your book remains incomplete after 5 years, your stories will be securely removed from our system due to storage limitations. However, we will send you multiple reminders well in advance, so you have every opportunity to finish your book.
