Terms and Conditions

By signing up to Your Life Story Book you agree to receive email reminders for a period of 12 months from date of signing up. These reminders will include prompts for your weekly or fortnightly questions, (depending on the package you have purchased) and a link to complete your next question.

You are welcome to complete the book as quickly or slowly as you want. The term of the email reminders is 12 months, however there is no subscription timeframe. After 12 months you will receive prompting for completion of book and printing. We will provide email prompts every couple months from there to continue you on your journey.

Your Life Story Book are not liable for content printed, for example, spelling, grammar or punctuation. It is important that you check all responses before submitting for any errors. When you receive your final proof, this is your final chance to check spelling, punctuation and grammar. Books will be printed exactly as presented in the proof. Once proof is accepted, no alterations can be made. Any additional books, or reprints due to errors on content, will be at subscribers expense.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.

Images and stories uploaded to Your Life Story Book remain the property of the user and will not be used by Your Life Story Book for any marketing or website media.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Your completed book will be sent to the publishers for printing and delivery to you. Once printed, the delete the proof copy within 30 days of printing.

How long we retain your data

Due to limited server space, stories and images will be deleted 6 months post book completion and printing unless you request sooner. We will notify you when files are to be deleted in case you want copies printed etc.

If we have not had any activity from you within 3 years, we will prompt again for engagement or delete all files.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you at any time. After 6 months post book production or 3 years of inactivity all personal data will be deleted by default. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
